Indifference Kills

The rain is coming and I don't know where to hide
is anybody offering shelter so I can go home tonight?
But I don't think anybody cares
Indifference can kill.

Your words are flowing like a river with no end
to me it's all a mystery what you're trying to pretend
and your words never really matter
Indifference can kill.

Are we misled
when we don't know what it's worth
to be reliable
and stick to the promises
you made today?

It's a sign of our times
people turning numb and dull
by oversaturation and senses
working overtime - overtime.
The rain is coming and I get screwed another time
it's all because of heathens, who just feel oh so sublime
and I don't think that I can take it anymore, you see,
The ruthless rule here.

I was thinking about yesterday's surprise
when the rain was pouring and someone came
and gently spoke my name.
The rain was fading and a ray reached to my heart
- heart - , well that's a start!

The rain is coming and yet I don't know where to hide
nobody's offering shelter so I can't go home tonight
And I don't think that I can take it anymore
Indifference will kill.

Each and every day your lousy ignorance
to me it's more than bad behaviour, it's social decadence
And I don't think I can take it anymore, you see,
Indifference kills.
